Rather than wait for the bandwagon to stop by and invite us, we decided to push forward and announce our own “Telsar Green Mission Statement”. Please see our website at:
http://www.telsar.com/green-mission.html to view this statement.
Rather than be a “me-too” and copy one off the internet, or hire someone to do this for us, Telsar Employees were each invited to add, design and build this statement as a work-in-progress. This will enable each of us to take our individual ownership in this and hopefully enforce this small statement in a big way.
I am proud of each of the designers of this and their individual contribution as well as their on-going commitment to this cause.
Sincerely,
J. Peter Zimmer

What was your most memorable interview?
Last year during a search for a new engineer, my staff and I were doing final interviews for the position; We had screened the resumes, sorted the applications, done the phone interviews, read the sample writings and finished the background checks.(all important points here). On a second face to face interview, after all questions had been asked and answered to our satisfaction, the applicant offered this last bit of information when asked if there was any thing else we should know about before we made our decision; "Well, it was alleged that I chased my last supervisor out of the office with an axe." I looked to make sure that the door to the room was still opened, and I quickly decided that I could easily jump over the person sitting next to me if needed.

Networking sites
If you have the time, please consider joining LINKEDIN.COM as a proffesional networking site. I manage two groups on there; Medical Lasers and Scientific Laser Technology. Both are very informative and are updated daily with news of the Medical Laser industry as well as a separate Scientific Laser Technology Site. Link in with me and we can get started. It will be worth the time.

Why not smile?
So this little kid is standing in the back of the church looking up at a large plaque. This plaque happened to be a memorial to all the service men and women from the congregation that have died in the line of duty. It listed each of their names. The pastor saw the little boy and walked over to him. The little boy looked up and asked what all these names were? The pastor said "these people have all died in the service." The little boy looked up and asked:
"Which one, the 8:30 or 10:30?"
"Which one, the 8:30 or 10:30?"
